Maker’s + The Machine hits Shoreditch

Maker’s Mark bourbon has well and truly made its mark amongst the Shoreditch and City crowd, with its unique ‘Maker’s + the Machine’ pop-up event.

Billed as the world’s most inefficient yet mouth-watering vending machine, for three days in May Maker’s + the Machine popped-up to offer Londoners the chance to try one of a choice of three Maker’s Mark bourbon whisky cocktails. However, this was not for the passer-by looking to order a cocktail on the fly. Instead of dispensing a drink in the way you might expect from a vending machine, each cocktail was prepared with due care and attention by a highly qualified bartender located inside! The result was the freshest, most tantalising of bourbon tasting experiences, as well as gasps of surprise from passing punters as a hand appeared at the bottom of the vending machine with their order. And of course Focus PR was on hand to communicate the red headed theme (the top of each Maker’s bottle is hand-dipped in red wax)!

Focus PR storms up the consumer PR league table

Today’s PR Week brings the news that we’ve stormed up the Top 50 Consumer Consultancies League Table to position 14, with 61% growth.  You can read a bit more about it here, or see today’s issue of PR Week, which includes an interview with Hilary (our fab MD).  What a great way to end the week!

We won a SABRE Award last night!

Chuffed to bits this morning as we scooped the New & Digital Media Award at the SABRE (Superior Achievement in Branding and Reputation) EMEA Awards last night for our Cadbury Creme Egg Twisted campaign (regular readers will know that this is the latest in a stream of awards for the project).  And we were a runner up for the ’Best in Show’ award too.  Well done to our brilliant team!
