iNK your own with Hornitos tequila!

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

We’ve spent the past few months working with authentic Mexican tequila brand Hornitos and leading tattoo publication, Skin Deep, to launch an exclusive competition for tattoo enthusiasts to ink their own bottle design.

The winning artist will bag a whopping £3,000 as well as the opportunity to show off their skills in an exclusive interview in the August issue of Skin Deep and professional tattoo and body art publication, Tattoo Master. The winning design will also adorn a limited edition bottle of Hornitos available from some of the coolest tequila bars across the country.

The entries are in and available to view and vote for your favourite, so take a peek and help our judges (who are some of the most esteemed body artists on the planet, including the dude that inks David Beckham, lucky man!) determine a victor.

We’ll be showing off some of the fantastic designs and announcing our winner at Tattoo Jam, so vote now for a chance to win some free tickets.  Voting closes on 10 June.

London Wine Fair preparation time

Monday, May 17th, 2010

I’ve got a stinking cold and our first week of decent weather is forecast – both signs that it must be the annual London International Wine Fair!  It will be my (gulp) 14th Fair and almost each year I’ve had a cold, which makes wine tasting a bit of a challenge to say the least.  But that doesn’t mean that I’ll be shirking my duties….

It’s a great event for lots of reasons, not least because it gives us the opportunity to catch up with friends, clients and journalists as well as gen up on the current hot topics of the wine world and hopefully make contact with potential new clients too.  I’ve got a few meetings lined up already and lots of people I want to call in on, so thank God I’ve got a pair of comfortable shoes at the ready (two years ago I staggered round Excel while eight months pregnant – not to be recommended!).

Hats off to Brintex for what looks like another good show, with lots of interesting seminars and tastings lined up.  However, even the best-laid plans go awry when the volcanic ash cloud has closed the airports again – I suspect plenty of exhibitors and visitors will be wondering if they’ll actually make it to London this year.   Bon chance, mon braves!

Celebrating a summer of colour with Collection 2000

Monday, May 17th, 2010

The sun may still be struggling to take up residence, but that didn’t stop our Collection 2000 team from hosting a ‘summer of colour’ press drinks launch at luxurious private members club, Home House, last week. Top beauty press were invited to drop in for a summery cocktail (or two!) and have a play with the latest product launches for the summer. They also got the chance to catch up with fashion makeup artist, Athena Skouvakis, who revealed some of the latest catwalk beauty trends for the summer. Press were really excited by all the fab new shades as well as our beach-inspired goody bags which were jam-packed with everything a girl needs to keep looking picture perfect this summer, including all the new products (of course), branded Collection 2000 towels and some super-cute pink kaftans from our latest label lust Mellissa Odabash!

Beauty Now and Company were two of the quickest to get their reviews up online, but we’re expecting lots more coverage soon!

It was also great to hear that our client was pleased (nay, overjoyed!) with the event, emailing us the next day: “Just wanted to say a huge thank you from the Collection 2000 team for the event on Wednesday.  The venue was perfect, the setting was beautiful and the attention to detail that you all paid was amazing, from the ‘designer cocktails’ to the flowers and the photography – just perfect and the feedback from the journalists seemed to agree.  The PR results just keep getting better and better and attending events like this shows why.”
