A World of Welsh Lamb is gearing up for its launch on 8 September and last Friday saw the photo call bring together some of the top chefs who will be cooking up mouth-watering Welsh Lamb dishes for the public to sample free of charge. Francesco Mazzei, Cyrus Todiwala, Andre Garrett, Sophie Wright and Joe Gray posed in front of The Butcher in Leadenhall Market, a City of London Market which originally dates back to the fourteenth century.Â
All the chefs dutifully posed, dispelling any myths of rivalry within the catering industry. Bringing their expertise to the grill at Leadenhall Market, these chefs are some of the top names in the business. Sophie Wright was one of the youngest head chefs in the country, taking control of the kitchen at Beach Blanket Babylon in London at the age of 20. Andre Garrett is Head Chef at Galvin at Windows and in 2002 won the Roux Scholarship. Francesco Mazzei and Cyrus Todiwala both run their own restaurants in London to critical acclaim whilst Joe Gray works with Kenza, the acclaimed Lebanese and Moroccan restaurant based in the heart of the City.Â
After a few flashes of the camera the chefs headed back to their kitchens and The Butcher fired up the grill for another lunch service for hungry City workers.
